Meet the Heart Behind the Practice: Getting to Know the Founder

Hello and welcome. I am so glad you’re here!

Starting therapy can be a big step, and sometimes knowing who you’re working with can make a huge difference. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit more about myself – not just as a professional, but as a person.

I’ve always been interested in supporting people through life’s challenges, hardships, accomplishments, and growth.

Growing up, I knew from a young age that creating space for others made me feel grounded and fulfilled. A significant part of my journey came from my own experiences with mental health. Navigating anxiety has made me deeply aware of how isolating it can feel – and also how transformative it is to be truly heard and supported. I have also had experience supporting many family members and close friends with their mental health. These experiences have stayed with me and shape the kind of therapist I’ve become: relational, compassionate, curious, and deeply human.

My path to become a psychologist has been both academic and personal.

I studied Psychology at the University of Lethbridge, later completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. My professional focus has been on working with families, couples, and individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and mental diagnoses.

I use an integrative and relational approach in therapy, drawing from modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, always tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships – and that change is possible when we feel supported, not judged.

This practice was born out of a vision: to create a space that feels like an exhale.

I wanted to build something that felt calm, genuine, and human – not clinical or cold. A space where people can show up as they are, without needing to have the “right” words. An environment where people can connect with their mind and body.

My hope is that when you walk through the doors (or log in for an online session), you feel met with warmth, understanding, and care. This practice is rooted in empathy, and in the belief that you don’t need to go through difficult seasons alone.

Outside of my work, I’m a big fan of slow mornings, nature, and holding space for my mind-body connection.

I recharge by reading books, going out in nature, moving my body, or spending time with loved ones. I’m also a lifelong learner – whether it’s through books, podcasts, or listening to others.

Oh, and if we’re being fully honest – I’m also that person who can’t leave a bookstore without picking up “just one more” psychology book and letting it sit on the shelf for a few months prior to reading it!

If you’re considering therapy, I want you to know this: You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

Starting therapy is a brave step. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about exploring something deeper within yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. If you feel like we may be a good fit, I’d love to connect with you further.
