Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) in Calgary
What is IFS?
Do you ever feel torn between different parts of yourself—like one part wants to move forward while another feels scared or resistant? Do you notice inner criticism or self-sabotage that you can’t seem to shift? IFS might be right for you. Internal Family Systems is a deeply compassionate approach that helps you understand and connect with the different “parts” of yourself—the inner voices, emotions, and roles that make up your internal world. We all have parts that try to protect us, parts that carry pain, and parts that help us function day-to-day. Sometimes these parts come into conflict or take on burdens that cause distress. In IFS, you’ll learn to meet each part with curiosity and care, allowing healing and integration to happen naturally. This process helps you access your inner “self”—a calm, wise, and compassionate core that can guide you toward balance and inner harmony.
Common Goals of IFS:
Build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself

Feel relief from inner conflict, self-criticism, and shame
